Porcelain cigar boxes from Cuba are a classic form of Habano storage that have been used since the late 18th century. These tins, which are often called “jars”, offer space for up to 25 large-format cigars, which can be stored upright. A passive humidification element in the lid of the jars is used to maintain the necessary moisture. The Swiss cigar legend Vahé Gerard writes about the effects of storing cigars in jars in his work “Cigars and Lifestyle”: “They even gain in density, compactness and aromatic concentration, the wrapper remains perfectly soft and oily.” The jars are packed in high-quality and sturdy boxes, which are also designed in the design of the respective brand.
