H. Upmann
Taste:
light to medium strength
Hermann Upmann was a German banker who liked Cuban cigars so much that he moved to Havanna in 1844, where he then worked as banker and cigar manufacturer. His bank had to close shortly after 1920, but his cigars live on as excellent example of a Habano of a light to medium strength taste.
All fillers and binders of the H.Upmann are from the tobacco cultivation zone Vuelta Abajo.
There are not less than eleven gold medals of international exhibitions from the 19th century decorating the boxes of the cigars.
Characteristic for its light to medium strong taste are the two most well-known formats of the brand, the Magnum 46 and the Magnum 50, which were launched in 2008. Other very famous formats are the Sir Winston, the Connossieur No.1 and with the smaller formats the Corona Junior and the Half Corona, the last launched in 2011.
All formats are totalmente a mano, tripa larga – long fillers completely manufactured by hand.
