Exclusively for sales in the shops of La Casa del Habano and the Habanos Specialists, we offer a porcelain jar of the still young brand San Cristóbal de La Habana. It is full of 25 cigars in the format “Geniales” (band size 54, length 150 mm), which corresponds to the popular “Eagle” in the line Montecristo Open.
Worldwide merely 5,000 of these high quality porcelain jars are sold. The name of the format “Torreon” means “tower” in Spanish, and refers to the watchtower of the historical fortress “El Morro”, which in former times watched over the harbour entrance of Havanna.
The whole porcelain jar is shaped like a tower. The upper part of the lid can be taken off and used as ash tray for the cigars.
San Cristóbal de La Habana was the original name of Havanna, the capital of Cuba, when it was founded in 1519; San Cristóbal (St. Christopher) to honour the saint of the day on which the city was founded and la habana after the Indian word for ‘square’.
The brand San Cristóbal de La Habana was launched in 1999 to honour the long history of the city at the threshold of the new millennium.
All formats contain fillers and binders from the tobacco cultivation zone Vuelta Abajo, and are totalmente a mano, tripa larga – long fillers completely made by hand.
