Details
Quai d’Orsay is a fairly young brand in the Habanos range. In 1973 it was introduced by Cubatabaco exclusively for the French market. The suggestion came from SEITA, the former French tobacco monopoly. The name of the brand refers to the well-known street on the banks of the Seine in Paris, where the company was based at the time.
For more than 40 years, the brand was an almost unknown gem in the Habanos portfolio. Until Habanos s.a. relaunched the brand in 2017 with one classic and two contemporary new formats. Afterwards, aficionados increasingly began to discover and enjoy this special brand with French charm and sophistication. Within a short time, the brand became more than just an insider tip among Habanos lovers. The reason for this was not only the relatively light and elegant tobacco blend made from Cuban black tobacco, which has characterized the brand from the beginning. The outstanding price-performance level was also immediately convincing.
Now Habanos s.a. is launching another format: the QUAI D'ORSAY NO.52. The production name of the cigar, newly developed exclusively for this brand, is “Lanzas”. With a length of 156 mm and a ring gauge of 52, hence the sales name “No.52”, it fits perfectly into the ranks of the new formats from Quai d’Orsay. Like the brand's three other formats, it is manufactured as a long filler using the production method that has been common in Cuba for centuries - totalmente a mano. The tobaccos used come from the world-famous Vuelta Abajo region in western Cuba. It is sold in the brand-typical, only partially stickered boxes containing 10 and 25 pieces.
