Since 1845, the Robaina family has been continuously growing tobacco on their outstanding vegas (fields) in Cuchillas de Barbacoa, in San Luis- area of the tobacco cultivation zone Vuelta Abajo.

The brand Vegas Robaina was launched in 1997 in honour of all Cuban vegueros (tobacco growers), symbolised by the probably best known veguero, Don Alejandro Robaina, who during his lifetime was famous for his excellent wrappers. This brand stands for all unknown vegueros, whose knowledge about the tobacco, experiences and hand strokes made Habanos what they are today.

All five of the formats with taste of medium strength to strong are totalmente a mano, tripa larga – long fillers completely manufactured by hand.
