Trinidad is named after the beautiful city La Santísima Trinidad (The Holy Trinity) from the 16th century. It is located on the south coast of Cuba and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Trinidad has been a brand since 1969. Like the Cohiba, it was solely manufactured as a present for foreign diplomats. It was released only in 1998 for general sales – however only in a small quantity.

First the Trinidad only had one format: the Fundadores. In 2003 there were three more: the Reyes, the Coloniales and the Robusto Extra. At the same time, the design of the brand and the cigar bands were revised. Only recently, 2009, the Trinidad Robusto T joined the range.

For some years, the cigars of the Trinidad brand were manufactured in the factory El Laguito, the Cohiba factory. The special tobacco mixtures with fillers and binders from the tobacco cultivation zone Vuelta Abajo ensure the exclusivity of this brand.

Today the production is in Pinar del Río, the most important city in the Vuelta Abajo.

All formats are totalmente a mano, tripa larga – long fillers completely manufactured by hand.
