Punch is one of the oldest Habanos brands. Don Manuel Lopez of Juan Valle & Co. founded this brand in the mid nineteenth century with an eye to the lucrative British market, in which at the time a humorous magazine of this name was very in vogue. 

A contented Mr. Punch, the clown symbolising the magazine, can still be seen on every box with a cigar in hand. He is surrounded by pictures which show the cigar manufacture of the nineteenth century. The manufacturing method has survived one and a half centuries practically unchanged. 

In 1931, Punch moved into the La Corona factory in which also the cigars of the brand Hoyo de Monterrey were produced. Still today, both brands are manufactured in the La Corona.

Punch‘s unmistakable Habanos medium strong taste which is produced by a blend of fillers and binders from the tobacco cultivation zone Vuelta Abajo are available in a great number of various formats. All formats are totalmente a mano, tripa larga – long fillers manufactured completely by hand.
